Equal 50/50 Drawer Configuration

The Equal 50/50 configuration provides two similarly sized drawers, making it a practical choice when you want balanced storage across the Hilux load bay.

This configuration is well suited to carrying:

The equal configuration provides two large, independently accessible storage areas while maintaining a practical flat deck above the drawers.

Unequal 60/40 Drawer Configuration

The Unequal 60/40 configuration provides one larger drawer and one smaller drawer.

Bushtech specifically notes that the unequal configuration is normally used where a fridge larger than 60L is required. The larger drawer can be positioned on the left or right, depending on the selected application.

This makes the 60/40 configuration particularly useful for touring and overland builds where one side needs to accommodate a larger fridge or bulkier equipment.

Fridge-Compatible Drawer System

One of the major advantages of the Bushtech system is that a suitable 12V fridge can be installed directly inside the drawer, reducing the need for a separate heavy fridge slide.

Bushtech states that selected configurations can accommodate fridges of up to 90L, depending on the fridge brand and dimensions. The drawer incorporates spacing and slots intended to allow ventilation around the fridge.

Fridge Cage – Optional Extra

A Bushtech Fridge Cage is available as an optional accessory for compatible drawer systems.

The cage helps prevent loose equipment from falling into the fridge cavity when the drawer is open, while its open design allows airflow around the fridge. It also provides an additional packing level for suitable lightweight equipment.

Fully Carpeted Interior

The Bushtech drawers are fully carpeted to help protect stored equipment while reducing rattling and noise when travelling over corrugated roads and rough terrain.

The deck is also covered with hard-wearing automotive carpet, providing a practical surface for camping equipment, storage boxes and other gear.

Heavy-Duty Sealed Bearings

The drawers run on heavy-duty sealed roller bearings, providing smooth operation while helping protect the drawer mechanism from dust and dirt.

Water-Tank Provision
