The Rhino-Rack Pioneer 6 Roof Rack with Backbone is a vehicle-specific roof-rack system designed for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series 2021+.
Combining the Rhino-Rack Pioneer 6 platform with the RTLB5 Backbone mounting system, it provides a strong, integrated platform for touring, overlanding, camping, recovery equipment and other roof-mounted accessories.
The Backbone system is designed to follow the contours of the LC300 roof and uses the vehicle’s factory roof mounting points, providing a clean, integrated installation without drilling.

Why Pioneer 6 + Backbone?
The Pioneer 6 provides a flexible platform rather than limiting the vehicle to a conventional cross-bar setup.
Its open accessory-mounting design allows equipment to be positioned where required, making it suitable for different LC300 builds and changing travel requirements. Rhino-Rack describes the Pioneer 6 as its quietest and lightest Pioneer platform and states that the platform provides 100% usable mounting space.
The Backbone provides the vehicle-specific mounting foundation beneath the platform and is compatible with the Rhino-Rack Pioneer accessory range.

The actual permitted load must therefore be determined using the lowest applicable limit.
