Low-Noise Longitudinal Design

The Big Country roof rack uses longitudinal slats running in the direction of travel. This design is intended to minimise wind resistance and wind noise compared with more conventional cross-slat arrangements.

This makes the rack particularly well suited to Land Cruiser 76 Series vehicles used for long-distance touring where the vehicle may spend extended periods travelling at highway speeds.

Big Country confirms that its products are manufactured in South Africa and are designed for specific vehicle applications.

Important Load Information

The Big Country rack is rated to 250 kg evenly distributed, but this does not mean that 250 kg can automatically be carried on every Land Cruiser 76 Series.

The vehicle’s OEM roof-load limitation must always be observed. The total roof load includes the weight of:

• All other equipment mounted to the roof

The lower of the vehicle’s OEM roof-load capacity and the applicable roof-rack/mounting-system rating must always be respected. Big Country specifically states that its 250 kg rack rating must not exceed the vehicle’s OEM roof-carrying capacity.
