Built for the Land Cruiser 79

The Land Cruiser 79 is commonly used for serious touring, farming, hunting, game-farm, safari and remote-area applications.

The Bushtech Original Aluminium Canopy provides a secure enclosed load area while allowing the vehicle to be configured around the equipment you actually need.

From drawers and cupboards to tables, fridge systems, recovery gear and electrical equipment, the canopy provides a modular foundation for building out the rear of the vehicle.

Lightweight Aluminium Construction

Bushtech uses custom aluminium extrusions to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio while keeping the canopy lightweight.

The frame and panels are powder coated, with multiple colour options available for both the frame and doors/panels.

This makes the canopy particularly suited to Land Cruiser owners who want additional enclosed storage without adding unnecessary weight.

Modular Internal Subframe

One of the key features of the Bushtech Original Canopy is its modular internal subframe.

Slotted Internal Roof Bars

These allow standard M8 bolts or eye nuts to be used for mounting or suspending equipment such as:

Secure Locking System

Large pressure-lever locks incorporate UV-stabilised rubber components and tension adjusters.

The locks are configured to operate key-alike, providing convenient access while helping secure equipment stored inside the canopy.

4 mm Toughened Glass

The Original Bushtech Canopy uses fixed 4 mm toughened glass windows at the front and rear.

The glass provides visibility while keeping the canopy enclosed and protected from the elements.

Rooftop Carrying Capacity

Bushtech states that its aluminium canopy has been tested with a rooftop carrying capacity of up to 2,500 kg.

Important: This is a tested canopy capacity and must not be interpreted as additional vehicle payload capacity.

When installing a roof rack, rooftop tent, awning or other equipment, the complete vehicle setup must remain within the applicable Toyota vehicle payload, axle-load and roof-load limitations.
