The Basic model provides the core Canopy Camper platform without unnecessary extras.

It is designed for customers who want a capable, lightweight camper system that can be fitted to the Land Cruiser and upgraded over time as their touring requirements develop.

Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Deluxe

The Deluxe builds on the Basic Canopy Camper with additional features designed to make longer trips and everyday camp life more convenient.

It adds integrated shade, additional storage and MOLLE-based organisation, making it a strong choice for customers who spend more time travelling off-grid.

Deluxe Includes

Everything included with the Basic model, plus:

The Deluxe is the better choice for customers wanting a more complete touring setup from day one, while the Basic provides the core camper platform and leaves room to add accessories later.

The Canopy Camper uses a pop-up design that provides a compact travelling profile while creating a much larger living area when opened.

With the roof raised, the interior provides full standing height, giving you considerably more usable space than a conventional rooftop tent.

The bed can also remain made up when the tent is closed, helping make setup and pack-down faster when moving between campsites.

The tent section is manufactured using double-layer 400gsm UV-resistant ripstop canvas.

The double-layer construction is designed for durability and weather protection while the insulated upper and lower sections help improve comfort across changing temperatures.

The Canopy Camper provides multiple access points.

The canopy incorporates:

• Right-side access
• Full vertical rear door

There is also internal access between the canopy living area and the rooftop tent, allowing the camper to function as one connected space.

The full vertical rear door is designed to accommodate a spare wheel up to 33 inches.

This is particularly useful on the Land Cruiser 79, where carrying a larger spare wheel is often part of a serious touring or off-road setup.

The Canopy Camper incorporates integrated roof rails, providing additional mounting options for touring equipment.

Depending on the overall vehicle configuration, the roof area can be used for additional gear while remaining within the applicable load limitations.

The Canopy Camper has a stated 50 kg rooftop load rating for additional gear.

Important: The 50 kg rating does not increase the Toyota Land Cruiser’s overall payload or roof-load allowance. The complete vehicle must remain within the manufacturer’s applicable payload and axle-load limits.

Important – Canopy Camper Weight

Alu-Cab currently lists the Canopy Camper shell at approximately 210 kg, with a fully kitted weight of approximately 250 kg.

The final vehicle weight will depend on the selected configuration and additional accessories.

Canopy Camper weight, occupants, water, fuel, recovery equipment, camping gear and other accessories must all be considered when calculating the Land Cruiser’s available payload.

Important – Existing Load-Bin Accessories

If your Land Cruiser 79 already has aftermarket load-bin accessories fitted, please specify this in the order notes when requesting a quotation.

Important – Load-Bin Liner

Alu-Cab’s current installation information specifies that the Canopy Camper mounting system is designed to connect directly to the vehicle tub.

Plastic bed liners may need to be removed or modified to allow correct mounting and alignment and to maintain applicable warranty requirements.

Please advise HJM Offroad if the vehicle has a factory or aftermarket load-bin liner before ordering.
