The ARB Intrepid 2.0 Rooftop Tent 1285mm Wide combines a slimline aluminium hard-shell design with ARB’s innovative bi-fold roof to create a spacious rooftop camping setup without the bulk of a traditional rooftop tent.

Designed for 4×4 touring, overlanding, camping, safari and long-distance adventure, the Intrepid 2.0 provides a comfortable two-person sleeping space while remaining just 180 mm high when closed.

Its proprietary bi-fold roof creates 36% more internal living space than traditional clamshell rooftop tents, with up to 138 cm of internal headroom when opened.

Spacious Living Without the Bulk

The ARB Intrepid 2.0 is designed around ARB’s proprietary bi-fold roof system.

Instead of simply opening like a conventional clamshell tent, the roof expands the usable internal space, creating a more open interior with additional headroom.

This allows you to:

One of the major advantages of the Intrepid 2.0 is its compact closed profile.

When packed away, the tent measures approximately:

This slimline profile helps keep the rooftop setup more streamlined when travelling between destinations.

Fast Setup

The ARB Intrepid 2.0 is designed for rapid campsite setup.

Stainless-steel gas struts assist with opening the bi-fold roof, while CNC aluminium latches secure the tent when packed away.

ARB specifies a setup time of approximately 60 seconds.

Aluminium Construction

The Intrepid 2.0 uses a lightweight yet durable honeycomb aluminium construction.

The tent’s outer skin is combined with 300 denier double ripstop polycotton fabric, providing a balance between durability, weight and weather protection.

Comfortable Sleeping System

The Intrepid 2.0 includes a multi-layer mattress system designed for rooftop camping comfort.

The mattress system incorporates:

The lighting can be powered through USB-A from a suitable power source or hard-wired, with the required power source/hardware sold separately where applicable.

ARB also provides ladder mounting options for different vehicle and campsite configurations, with an optional longer 11-rung ladder available for taller vehicles.

Roof Rack & Vehicle Fitment

The ARB Intrepid 2.0 includes a mounting kit designed to suit most suitable roof bar and roof rack systems, including the ARB BASE Rack.

ARB also offers a dedicated quick-release clamp solution for selected tent and BASE Rack combinations.

Important: The 70 kg tent weight does not mean every vehicle or roof rack can safely carry the tent.

Before ordering, the vehicle’s dynamic roof-load limit, roof rack/bar load rating and complete mounting configuration must be checked.

The roof rack, mounting system and rooftop tent must remain within the applicable vehicle and equipment load limits.

Existing equipment may affect available mounting positions, clearance and accessory compatibility.

Important – Roof Load

Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturer’s maximum roof-load capacity.

The rooftop tent’s 70 kg net weight must be considered together with the weight of the roof rack, mounting hardware and any other equipment carried on the roof.

Always check the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and the applicable roof-rack manufacturer’s load rating before installation.
