Gravity-Feed Fuel System

The Gerber system uses a gravity-feed configuration, with the auxiliary tank supplying additional fuel to the vehicle’s main fuel system.

This means the factory fuel tank remains in place while the additional tank increases the vehicle’s overall available fuel capacity.

Gerber’s published Hilux auxiliary tank specification confirms the gravity-feed principle and the use of a separate auxiliary tank alongside the original factory tank.

The tank is manufactured from 409/3CR12 stainless steel with a black stone-chip finish, providing a durable underbody fuel-storage solution suitable for the demands of 4×4 and commercial vehicle use.

The system uses rubber fuel hoses and supplied installation hardware.

This product is listed for the Toyota Hilux Travo 2026+ application.

The new Travo should not automatically be treated as the same fitment as every previous-generation Hilux. HJM will confirm the exact vehicle configuration before fitment.

If your Hilux Travo already has aftermarket suspension, exhaust components, underbody protection, tanks, drawers, trays or other underbody accessories, please specify this in the order notes when requesting a quotation or placing your order.

Fitment compatibility must be confirmed before installation where aftermarket modifications are present.

Fuel Gauge Notice

Gerber long-range auxiliary tanks are supplied without a dedicated fuel gauge. The vehicle’s factory fuel gauge may not provide an accurate indication of the fuel level in the additional tank.

Customers should monitor fuel consumption and available range manually after installation.

Note: Exact tank dimensions and empty weight for the 90L Travo-specific version should be confirmed with HJM before publication/quotation if required, rather than using dimensions from the earlier Hilux 80L Gerber tank.
